Pumpkin Bread from allrecipes.com

Rainbow Jello.

Hello, Beautiful!

I made this for my mom's graduation party this past Saturday. I used this recipe and also these instructions. I loooove this dessert but it is a pain in the ass to make! No joke. Like, it takes hours to do. But I think it's totally worth it!

This is my second one to make. The first one I made was like two years ago so I was kinda rusty. But I still think it came out pretty good. Annnnnnd when I was about to put on the last layer, the power went out! OF COURSE! So I had to finish it in the dark!

It's a show stopper, for sure. Bring it when you really want to show off!

This is the first one I made a few years ago. I used the same recipe and instructions but I think I was more stressed out with this one so I was more careful.

And it taste FABULOUS! Like what you'd think a rainbow would taste like...

Speaking of rainbows....here's my new necklace from STOOPIDGERL!! LOVE IT!!

Banana Bread!!

I am not a banana person. I don't know why, I just never really have been. But I do looove banana bread. I made this bread and then ate about half of it while watching the first season of True Blood.

Banana Bread
adapted from allrecipes.com

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Spray one 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray coating.
Blend together the eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, oil and bananas.
In a separate bowl, stir together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, baking soda and salt. Add to banana mixture and stir in walnuts. Mix well.
Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.

While it was baking I combined butter and cinnamon and as soon as it came out of the oven I spread the cinnamon butter on it and made it extra tasty!

Our Easter Dinner.

I love cooking Thanksgiving dinner but there's just something about Easter dinner that I really enjoy. It's less stressful, less people to cook for, and no getting up and 5am to put big ass turkey in the oven.

Simple yet delicious.
Brown Sugar Glazed Ham with pineapple slices and maraschino cherries. Very retro. I don't eat ham but everyone said it was great.

Scalloped Potatoes with Leeks
Very good and super easy to make.

My dad's rolls. The best!

Oven-Roasted Asparagus

Simple Deviled Eggs.

Kiwi-Berry Pavlova

Very good but it stuck to the pan so I wasn't able to put it on a pretty dish.
